CBRC Topnotchers get PNU SCHOLARSHIP for MAEd and PhD

In a move aimed at recognizing academic excellence and fostering educational growth, the Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) has initiated a significant partnership with the Philippine Normal University (PNU), the National Center for Teacher Education, to extend scholarships to the cream of the crop in the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. This groundbreaking collaboration was solidified through the signing of a Memorandum of Scholarship Agreement between the two esteemed institutions.

The signing ceremony, attended by PNU President Dr. Bert J. Tuga, along with other PNU officials, and CBRC’s President and CEO Dr. Carl E. Balita, marked a pivotal moment in education in the Philippines. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to nurturing the growth of exceptional talents within the education sector.

The scholarship initiative specifically targets those who have achieved the remarkable feat of securing the top spot in the CBRC review programs. These elite scholars, recognized for their dedication and outstanding performance, will have the privilege of receiving the Scholarship Grant.

Among the notable beneficiaries of this prestigious scholarship program are Fritzie Unabia, who clinched the top 1 position in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), and John Aws Uy, who achieved top honors at PNU. These individuals represent the pinnacle of academic achievement and serve as inspiring role models for aspiring educators.

However, it is important to highlight that while the CBRC Top 1s receive automatic scholarships, the program remains inclusive, allowing other topnotchers to apply. The application process is subject to the admission and retention policies of PNU. This aspect of the partnership underscores the commitment to fostering excellence across a broader spectrum of academic talent.

In a statement regarding the partnership, Dr. Carl E. Balita expressed his enthusiasm for supporting the best and brightest students in their pursuit of academic excellence.

“We want the best for our best products and PNU is the National Center for teacher education and we trust that it will bring out the best from these topnotchers,” says Dr Carl E. Balita.

To accommodate the qualified CBRC topnotchers, PNU offers the convenience of six campuses spread across different locations. This accessibility ensures that the scholars have the flexibility to choose a campus that best suits their needs, contributing to a nurturing and conducive learning environment.

In conclusion, the partnership between Carl Balita Review Center and Philippine Normal University marks an unprecedented stride in promoting academic excellence within the realm of teacher education. By extending scholarships to topnotchers and fostering collaboration between two esteemed institutions, this initiative sets a precedent for recognizing and supporting exceptional talent within the education sector. As the scholars embark on their educational journey, guided by the expertise of PNU’s faculty, their successes will undoubtedly contribute to the enhancement of the Philippine education landscape as a whole.
